In the first month of your contract, we’ll hit the ground running by giving you access to your BrightEdge client dashboard, which includes insights into the current rankings for top keywords, total- and organic-traffic trends, a performance review of current landing pages, and a rank comparison between your organization and your competitors. We will then perform in-depth keyword research to determine the most beneficial keywords you should be targeting, based on a variety of metrics, including relevance, search volume, conversion likelihood, ranking difficulty, and others. Using BrightEdge we will track those keywords. Next, we’ll perform a comprehensive audit of your site it ensure that all valuable data is being properly recorded, and that all tags and content are optimized for best possible results. Finally, we’ll implement any improvements to the website as discovered during the initial optimization audit. This will give you an accurate picture of where you are, and help us figure out how to best get you to where you want to be.
In month two, we’ll get down into the heart of what makes your site tick, by performing a detailed technical audit. We will identify and catalogue any site redirects, duplicate content, and broken links (both internal and inbound), while also auditing (or creating) your vital sitemap and robots.txt files. Once the technical audit has been complete, we will implement any necessary corrections and improvements, preparing your site to better manage its traffic.
After getting a good look at your site and your setup, we’ll spend the third month getting a good look at your competition. Our marketers will analyze your top competitors to identify their most valuable keywords. At the same time, we will analyze your competitors’ sites from technical, on-page optimization, off-page optimization, and social perspectives. The results of our analyses will be used to gather the insights needed to determine whether more detailed on-page changes are needed.
Month four will see us using the data collected during the competitor research analysis to perform an on-page optimization audit. This audit will allow us to implement further improvements to your site, ensuring that it is able to remain competitive with the sites that rank highest for your targeted keywords.
As we get into month five, we’ll continue to implement on-page changes as needed. We will also begin our strategy-revision process, which includes a complete re-evaluation of your site to identify all potential strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. This allows us to keep our approach flexible, making changes where needed in order to maintain and improve rankings.
Entering month six and onward, we’ll roll out the revised strategy, and continue to update and reevaluate where ever we need to. After all, our goal is for you to achieve your goals, and that means keeping a close eye on what’s working, what isn’t working, and what we can do to make it all work together.
